The Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 in Hempfield Rohrerstown is seeking a Full-Time Personal Care Assistant (Autistic Support) to support students under a 1:1 paraeducator arrangement. The role includes instructional, behavioral and personal care assistance as defined by the student’s IEP and directed by the classroom teacher.

Responsibilities include implementing support plans, following program supervision, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators with PDE, or willingness to complete within 6 months of employment.
Copy of credential must be submitted within 30 days of hire or when received from PDE.
Two years of postsecondary study with 48 credit hours, transcript within 30 days of employment.
Associate degree or higher, transcript within 30 days of employment.
Meeting rigorous standards demonstrated through an approved assessment within 6 months of employment.
Evidence of 20 hours of staff development activities annually.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support per the student’s IEP.
Assist 1:1 paraeducator duties for school-age students.
Follow classroom teacher supervision and program supervisor guidance.
