J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Web Developer – Level 1 (Software Engineer 1) to join our Fort Meade team. You will own features end-to-end across UI, API, and database layers, deploying cloud-hosted services in AWS from Fort Meade, MD.

The role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a DoD IAM Level I cert, and a CS degree with 7+ years of experience (or 11+ years without a degree). Salary ranges from $159,000 to $190,000 annually with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph.
• Cybersecurity Certification: Minimum DoD 8570 / 8140 IAM Level I (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
• Experience & Education: Degree plus 7+ years of software engineering on similar scope, OR 11+ years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack web applications (UI, API, DB) within an Agile framework.
• Deploy, monitor, and support production services in AWS; troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause remediation.
• Write technical design docs, architecture proposals, and interface designs.
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization and secure coding practices across components.
• Configure, optimize, and operate software deployments on Linux.
