Job Description

Position Summary: The Full-Stack Web Developer advances the Division of Learning Innovation's ability to reach and support learners by developing, integrating, and maintaining reliable, accessible, and scalable digital pathways. This position supports learner-facing websites, web applications, middleware, data connections, and application integrations across credit, noncredit, professional, continuing, Extension, and lifelong learning portfolios.

As part of the technology and digital experience infrastructure supporting Learning Innovation, this position develops full-stack web solutions that connect learner-facing experiences with Salesforce, content management systems, registration platforms, payment gateways, marketing automation tools, analytics and reporting environments, Canvas/LTI tools, and other applications. The role supports front-end and back-end development, API integrations, secure data flows, accessibility, performance, documentation, testing, and operational continuity.

The Division of Learning Innovation is a university-wide enterprise dedicated to expanding access, strengthening learner success, and advancing innovative models of teaching and learning. Through CSU Online, Professional and Continuing Education, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Learning Innovation for Extension Programs, and other cross-university partnerships, the division designs and supports learning experiences across the learner lifecycle, from open learning and noncredit credentials to degree pathways and workforce-aligned programs.

The primary work location and work arrangement for this position will be determined in alignment with university needs, role responsibilities, and CSU policies. Regular collaboration with campus and divisional partners is expected. Occasional travel or flexible work hours may be required based on launch timelines, system releases, incident response, partnership meetings, and learner or community engagement activities.

For full consideration, all materials must be RECEIVED no later than 12:00 AM Mountain Time on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Essential Job Duties
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications, learner-facing websites, middleware, and custom functionality that support the Division of Learning Innovation across credit, noncredit, professional, continuing, Extension, and lifelong learning portfolios.
  • Build and maintain integrations among web forms, content management systems, Salesforce CRM, registration platforms, payment gateways, marketing automation tools, analytics systems, reporting tools, Canvas/LTI tools, and other applications using secure APIs, middleware and reliable data exchange practices.
  • Translate learner journey, portfolio, enrollment, marketing and growth, accessibility, and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions, user flows, interface improvements, application features, and implementation plans.
  • Create and improve front-end components and back-end services using modern web standards, accessible and responsive design practices, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, relevant frameworks, C#/.NET or comparable server-side technologies, database queries, and version-controlled code.
  • Configure, deploy, monitor, test, and troubleshoot development and production environments, integrations, release cycles, and code quality processes, including unit testing, code reviews, security updates, performance optimization, technical documentation, and maintainability practices.
  • Develop technical capabilities that support findability, search, SEO, event tracking, analytics, A/B testing, form submission, data capture, conversion measurement, personalization, and reliable handoffs into Salesforce and other learner-support systems.
  • Provide timely technical consultation and support to Learning Innovation teams by diagnosing issues, prioritizing enhancements, coordinating with Salesforce administrators, DoIT, vendors, and application owners, and resolving web and application problems with a service-centered approach.
  • Maintain accessibility, usability, privacy, security, and data integrity standards for learner-facing web and application work, escalating enterprise platform, compliance, institutional data, budget, or risk issues to appropriate divisional leaders and enterprise partners.
Conditions of Employment
  • Pre-employment Criminal Background Check required for new hires.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; visa sponsorship is not available unless otherwise approved through standard university process.
  • Hybrid, remote, or on-site work arrangement may be available based on role responsibilities, business needs, and CSU policies.
