Job summary

The Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a motivated Full Stack Web Developer to build database-backed web applications and public facing websites. You will work with Designers and Developers to ensure web design and user experience requirements are met and aligned with project goals.

You will design data models, implement and test web solutions, and collaborate in an Agile environment while providing operational support and gathering user feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of full-time, professional web application development experience.
• Outstanding skills in two or more of: Front-end development, Application design and development, Back-end development, Relational databases, Software quality assurance.

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a motivated and team-oriented Full Stack Web Developer to develop database-backed web applications, public facing websites, and interface with third-party applications. In this role, you will work closely with a team of Designers and Developers to build functional and engaging websites, while ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writes clean, consistent and well‑documented code
• Designs, implements, tests, and maintains web applications using a variety of web technologies and libraries
• Designs relational data models
• Collaborates in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Builds software solutions for internal customers
• Provides operational support for existing systems
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues
• Gathers and evaluates user requirements and feedback with business process owners and team

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field
• 5+years of full-time, professional web application development experience
• Outstanding skills in two or more of the following:

• Superior analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles
• Experience with responsive web design
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks including modern front-end libraries (e.g. Vue)

*Salary Range

• $93,000 - $177,000
  • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
