Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Software Engineer to join our claims product team in a fast-paced agile environment. You will develop user interfaces with React, build server-side apps with Node.js and TypeScript, and design scalable microservices using Spring Boot, AWS, and Cloud Foundry.

Responsibilities include end-to-end development, automated testing across unit to regression scopes, and continuous improvement. Domestic travel up to 10% and telecommuting up to 60% are supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; foreign equivalent accepted.
• 1 year of experience in Software Engineer-related occupation or job offered.
• Experience with React for UI development.
• Server-side development with Node.js.
• TypeScript-based, scalable code development.
• Enterprise-level OO and Java-based backend (Spring Boot).
• Building microservices/backend with Spring Boot; AWS Lambdas, EC2, S3.
• Insurance industry domain experience preferred (property claim).
• Understanding backlog tracking, burndown metrics, incremental delivery; Jira usage.

Responsibilities

• Develop UIs using React to deliver claims product features.
• Build server-side applications with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Write scalable, maintainable code; implement RESTful services.
• Develop microservices and backend systems with Spring Boot.
• Leverage AWS (Lambdas, EC2, S3) and Cloud Foundry for cloud solutions.
• Create automated tests across unit, system, integration, and regression scopes.
• Support continuous improvement and fast time-to-market.
