Are you looking for an opportunity to lead the development of modern software platforms that directly impact national defense and advanced training systems? As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership across the entire software stack, from intuitive user experiences and scalable backend services to cloud-native architectures and distributed systems. You’ll work closely with product owners, architects, and fellow engineers to define technical direction, mentor developers, and build high-quality software that solves challenging real-world problems.

What You’ll Work On:
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems that support high-performance, mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive software architecture decisions, establish engineering standards, and conduct technical design and code reviews.
  • Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces while ensuring maintainable, testable, and reusable code.
  • Design and optimize data models, persistence layers, and application integrations.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience with software engineering, including leading the design and delivery of complex software systems
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows, automated testing, and Agile software development
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Bicep, and cloud-native architectures.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
