Job summary

The Cisco Product Internship Program offers a 12-week summer experience designed to welcome early-career talent into this mission. Interns are embedded in high-impact teams to design, build, and ship APIs powering Cisco platforms, with opportunities to contribute to front-end work as needed.

We evaluate candidates with CS/CE/SE backgrounds, strong Python/Java/Go skills, and familiarity with Git, Linux, and RESTful services; cloud and DevOps exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program with 0+ years (or 2+ years for undergrad track) of work experience.
• Pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship APIs and applications powering Cisco platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable back-end code and RESTful services.
• Collaborate with teams; contribute to front-end as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues and help scale software for impact.
