Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a software professional to analyze, design, implement, test and maintain high-quality software experiences. The role requires ownership of full-stack development, collaboration across teams, and adherence to DevOps and security practices.

Ideal candidates will have COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS experience within financial institutions, plus familiarity with GitLab and an Agile SDLC. Three to five years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
Three to five years of relevant experience.
Experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS in a large institution.
Familiarity with GitLab and agile software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
Ensures design adheres to architectural best practices with focus on scalability, reliability and performance.
Performs analysis on failures and proposes design changes for improvements.
Makes sound design and coding decisions prioritizing customer experience.
Incorporates feedback from code reviews to meet standards.
Conducts code reviews to guide engineering best practices and compliance.
