Full-Stack Software Engineer–Automotive Manufacturing-Georgetown,KY

Location :Georgetown,KY-(Onsite)

Project Duration : 6+ months contract

Pay Rate : $60 - $62 an hour on W2

Job Summary:

The Full-Stack Software Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing designs, develops, integrates, and supports software solutions that connect automotive manufacturing operations with cloud and enterprise systems.

The role spans the full software stack—from shop-floor edge applications and industrial data collection to cloud services, backend systems, APIs, databases, and front-end user experiences.

The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack development skills with practical experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial systems, and connected factory environments. They understand the unique requirements of manufacturing software, including real-time data, equipment connectivity, reliability, cybersecurity, scalability, and operation in environments where cloud and edge computing must work together.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Significant software-development experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, or discrete manufacturing.
  • Strong experience developing both front-end and backend applications.
  • Experience developing software across cloud and edge environments.
  • Experience integrating software with manufacturing systems and/or industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, messaging, and data integration.
  • Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and shop-floor technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with software developers, architects, manufacturing engineers, plant personnel, IT/OT teams, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with MES/MOM platforms.
  • Experience with OPC UA, MQTT, Spark plug, or other industrial communication technologies.
  • Experience with industrial IoT and connected-factory architectures.
  • Experience with Azure IoT or equivalent cloud/edge technologies.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms.
  • Experience with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Experience developing applications for multi-plant or enterprise manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and information models.
  • Experience with observability and distributed-system monitoring.
  • Experience working in regulated or high-availability manufacturing environments.
Mandatory skills:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing,
