Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to support our client's mobile app deployment ecosystem across Android, iOS, Mac, and Chrome projects. You will build self-service tools to automate app deployments to stores and manage scalable infrastructure, using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and GCP.

You will collaborate with development teams and business partners to improve release efficiency, reduce manual effort, and deliver high-quality mobile applications with robust CI/CD

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot development.
• 5 years of experience in Angular or similar framework.
• 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform Services.
• 3 years of experience in RESTful API development.
• 2 years of experience in building GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation via GitHub Actions and centralize deployment pipelines for all app developers.
• Design, develop, and deploy a self-service portal for developers using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and GCP.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure a bug-free, automated solution.
• Review code quality to minimize vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with business teams to build world-class apps.
• Monitor and improve applications and tools, and optimize supporting infrastructure.

Job description

As a Full-stack Software Engineer you will support our client's global mobile app deployment ecosystem by helping Android, iOS, Mac, and Chrome app development teams build, test, and deploy applications more efficiently. You will design, develop, and manage self-service tools that allow developers to automate app deployments to the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Chrome Web Store, and Intune Company Portal. You will work across both front-end and back-end technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation practices. You will help centralize deployment pipelines, create a user-friendly developer portal, build and maintain scalable infrastructure. You will also collaborate closely with app development teams and business partners to provide technical leadership, improve release efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support the delivery of high-quality mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation via GitHub Actions and centralize deployment pipelines for all Android and iOS app developers.
• Design, develop, and deploy a self-service portal for developers using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and GCP, including a user-friendly front-end, responsive back-end, PostgreSQL database, and RESTful APIs.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a bug-free solution that is increasingly automated.
• Review code quality to ensure products are without vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with app development teams and business teams to provide technical leadership and help build world-class apps.
• Monitor and improve developed applications and tools.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure being leveraged to support the automation and self-service portal.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria enabling accurate sprint planning and predictable delivery.

Experience Required

• 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot development
• 5 years of experience in Angular or similar framework
• 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform Services
• 3 years of experience in RESTful API development
• 2 years of experience in building GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices

Experience Preferred

• 5 years of building and maintaining web applications
• Mobile development experience in either iOS or Android
• Familiarity with vulnerability analysis and mitigation
• Experience working in a service team for a large organization
• Strong problem-solving skills to help solve issues and drive new solutions

This role requires 4 days on-site.
