Job summary

Marigold is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join autonomous product teams, delivering rock-solid customer experiences while scaling systems for rapid growth. You’ll work across C#, JavaScript, SQL, and Java, transitioning from Backbone.js to React, and share ownership of architecture, code quality, and end‑to‑end delivery.

You’ll mentor teammates, participate in on-call rotations, and influence tradeoffs, scoping, and maintainability across event-driven microservices and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (or 3+ years of additional relevant experience).
• Fluency in at least two programming languages (C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Comfortable using AI-augmented development tools to write, review, and refactor code with good judgment.
• Familiarity with storage engines (SQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, RDS).
• Data-driven decision making and instrumentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Marigold is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices in Sydney and London.The RoleSenior Full Stack Engineers are an integral part of our autonomous, multi-disciplinary product teams, working closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and other software engineers to deliver quality, rock-solid customer experiences and scale our systems for ever-increasing growth. We work in small teams with clear objectives, which allows for accountability and transparency, and an expectation to support and maintain the software we create, including participation in an on-call rotation.Note: The majority of the interview process will take place remotely, with one stage conducted in person.This role is on the Campaign Monitor product, where the technology stack is mainly C#, JavaScript, SQL, and Java. Some of our frontend is still on Backbone.js as we continue migrating toward React, so you'll be working across both as part of that transition. We're looking to fill roles across a variety of projects, including:Event-driven microservices and APIs in a distributed architectureDynamic web applications (ReactJS, Node.js, Backbone.js)Infrastructure development on AWS (EC2, ECS, SNS/SQS, RDS, Elasticache, Elasticsearch)Event streaming & big data solutions (Kafka, Spark)Extending and growing our existing feature setAs a senior member of the team, you'll be expected to help shape architecture decisions, raise the bar on code quality through review and mentorship, and take ownership of problems end to end — not just implementation, but scoping, tradeoffs, and long-term maintainability.About YouEssential10+ years of experience as a software developer.BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field (in lieu of a degree, 3+ years of additional relevant industry experience).Fluency in at least two programming languages, preferably including C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.Comfortable using AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to write, review, and refactor code faster — with the judgment to know when to lean on them and when not to, and without outsourcing critical thinking about design, correctness, or security.Familiarity with a range of storage engines (SQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, RDS offerings) and know when each is the right fit.Data-driven decision making and familiarity with instrumentation techniques.Effective communication skills, via interactive mediums and documentation.You value teamwork and have solid collaboration skills, which are fundamental to how we work at Campaign Monitor.DesirableExperience in event streaming architecture and stream processing (Kafka, Spark).Solid IaC experience with Terraform; comfortable picking up other provisioning/config tools as needed.Haven't mastered everything on that list?
