Job summary

Schmidt Entities is hiring a highly motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology Application Development team in Los Angeles. You will help build and maintain internal business systems, supporting critical workflows across domains.

The role requires strong technical fundamentals, collaboration, and the ability to work with distributed offshore resources. You will work on architecture decisions, APIs, and end-to-end delivery with high ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering/IT.
• 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL, and schema design.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver full-stack features across backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend apps.

The selected candidates will play a key role in building and maintaining a portfolio of internal business systems that support critical operational workflows across multiple domains within the organization.

• Build and deliver full-stack software features across backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend applications.
• Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services supporting production business applications.

• Experience integrating with financial systems, operational platforms, or enterprise business applications is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building scalable enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining relational databases, including PostgreSQL schema development and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute in high-ownership environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working across distributed engineering teams.
• Experience supporting enterprise business systems, financial platforms, or operational applications is a plus.
