Job summary

York Space Systems is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and evolve a modern React/TypeScript and C# .NET web-based application used to monitor and task space vehicles.

You will collaborate with engineers, operators, and customers, implementing features, fixes, and improvements while growing your skills and contributing to a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering.
• Strong full-stack web engineering experience.
• Experience with strongly typed backend languages, such as C#.
• Exceptional problem solving skills.
• Understanding of modern React and its core principles.
• Experience with common front-end development tools, such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Experience with Git.
• Thorough knowledge of API’s.
• Experience with SQL Databases.
• Eagerness to continue to learn and improve.
• Desire to mentor and participate in the growth of peers.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is excited about building and pushing the boundaries of software to operate spacecrafts. Our software is a modern (React/TypeScript, C# .NET) web-based application which operators use to monitor and task space vehicles. You’ll be responsible for working with engineers, operators, and customers to understand requirements and implement features, bug fixes, and other improvements. Prior space-industry experience is not required.

• Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
