Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to translate customer goals into robust software across the stack, from infrastructure automation to calculation engines and intuitive web interfaces.

You will collaborate with experts across Research, Investments, Sales and Marketing, delivering MVPs and iterating with user feedback. Remote-work eligible, orientation on-site, and travel reimbursed per policy.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience in a professional and/or academic setting.
• Experience with Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or equivalent dynamic languages.
• Experience with C#, Java, C/C++, TypeScript, or equivalent static languages.

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team and translate our customers’ goals into working software throughout the stack from automated configurations to model definitions, calculation APIs, and building intuitive user interfaces. The most important qualifications are a passion for quality software and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and approaches.

What you might work on: As a full stack engineer at Dimensional, you will have the opportunity to understand the users’ needs and solve problems at all levels of the stack from automating infrastructure and deployments to complex calculation engines in an ETL pipeline to designing user friendly web applications. Collaborate with subject matter experts in a variety of areas to drive the success of our clients. Participate in software architecture and design. Develop software solutions using back-end and/or front-end technologies. Demonstrate and apply software engineering best practices and participate in code reviews. Develop configurations and automations to enable testing, infrastructure and deployments.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a strong drive for learning and self-improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of software development experience in a professional and/or academic setting
• Experience with Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or equivalent dynamic languages
• Experience with C#, Java, C/C++, Typescript, or equivalent static languages
• Experience with any of the following: data engineering, web/mobile application development, systems/security software development

Preferred Competencies:

• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
• Ability to write in English fluently and idiomatically
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science or other related technical field
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies
• Financial services industry experience
• Experience with any of the following: Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLServer
• Airflow, Kafka, AWS, serverless/microservice architecture
• TDD, BDD, Numpy/Scipy/Pandas, React, Angular, Vue.js, Node, Ansible
• New Relic, ELK

While this position is remote-work eligible, you are required to report to the Company’s offices for orientation and your first week of work, and on a periodic basis thereafter. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Dimensional’s policies. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
