Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a React/.NET Developer for a 6-month contract position based in Houston, Texas (hybrid). This is a full-stack engineering role focused on designing, developing, and supporting scalable applications and services for enterprise and frontline operations.

Responsibilities include building modern UIs with React/React Native, creating backend services with Node.js/Java, Python, and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React/React Native).
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and distributed services.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of software architecture and OO design principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable applications and services.
• Build modern, responsive user experiences using React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Java, Python, or comparable enterprise frameworks.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and enterprise integrations.
• Develop reusable components and common services across products.
• Collaborate with UX and product partners to translate frontline workflows into digital experiences.
• Build cloud-native services using AWS or comparable platforms.
• Build scalable APIs, serverless services, microservices, and data integrations.
• Implement unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing; emphasize security throughout SDLC.
• Support production deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
