Job summary

Animal Repair Shop, LLC is seeking a Mid/Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build immersive experiences that bridge digital and physical worlds. You will lead API and frontend work for a greenfield gaming platform, translating complex requirements into working software.

You will mentor a small team of developers, collaborate with UX, art, and client engineering teams, and ensure code quality and timely delivery in a highly autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering high-performance APIs and frontend apps.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView.

Responsibilities

ARS is looking for a Mid/Senior Full-Stack Engineer who is passionate about creating next-generation immersive experiences that bring new forms of audience engagement to life in fun and unexpected ways, in original projects that bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds in unique, story-driven ways.

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader and software engineer with previous experience developing/integrating scalable APIs and Frontend applications. You care deeply about writing beautiful, performant code that will act as the foundation of development for years to come. You also know how to build and lead a team of engineers and mentor them on their career paths. You should enjoy working as part of cross-functional teams to help architect solutions to unique problems that help the entire platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of creating and delivering high-performance APIs/Frontend Applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of Elixir/Phoenix/LiveView
• Advanced knowledge of Modern JavaScript frameworks and development
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL/Ecto
• Experience using Elixir in production at scale
• Extensive experience debugging and optimizing web applications
• Experience working with a team of developers, artists and technical leads
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
• Ability to both think high-level and be detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of and help design the architecture for a greenfield gaming platform's API and frontend presence
• Convert complex requirements into elegant working software
• Work closely with the User Experience Design Team to design and implement new concepts and features
• Work closely with the Client Engineering team to design and integrate internal and external APIs
• Work closely with the Art team to turn beautiful designs into functional applications
• Produce code that is clear and concise, and consistent with best-in-class coding standards
• Deliver in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time and with high quality
• Self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy
• Participate in and lead code reviews
• Work closely with the rest of the engineering team on a day to day basis
• Document new features for both internal and external reference
• Ability to progress into a position which oversees a small development and engineering team
