Job summary

Inferno Systems Inc. seeks an Operational Systems Developer at full performance and expert levels to build and maintain an operational-facing platform. You will work on web apps supporting penetration testers, data scientists and network defenders, delivering features end-to-end in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role requires strong Python development, ETL expertise, REST API work, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving operational needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall development experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience with ETL data flows.
• Experience with REST APIs, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Be able to develop rapid prototypes based on quickly developing operational needs.
• Be a self-starter, proactively integrate with a diverse team and feel comfortable leading the creative process and engaging multiple stakeholders to help formulate a creative approach.
• Familiarity with/working knowledge of the design, development, deployment and maintenance of fully-functional web sites and web applications.
• Familiarity with the certification and accreditation process and testing.
• Ability to research, analyze, prioritize, problem solve, and work several tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.
• Proven high-attention to detail to all tasking.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging team environment.
• Ability to perform ad hoc duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational-facing web applications supporting testers, data scientists and network defenders.
• Work on ETL data pipelines and REST API integrations.
• Collaborate across teams; write high-quality code and participate in code reviews.
• Interface with customers and users through all phases of the development lifecycle to drive the customer’s mission.
