Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to design, build, and modernize enterprise-scale web applications in our Workplace Services Engineering group.

You will contribute to scalable backend services in C#/.NET Core, deliver responsive UI with JavaScript/Angular/TypeScript, and design RESTful APIs, while collaborating with product teams and stakeholders to align technical direction with business goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend services.
• Experience building SPAs using Angular and TypeScript.
• Ability to design, create, and consume RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience applying unit testing practices and patterns.
• Understanding of secure application design, including authentication and authorization concepts.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development; BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop full-stack web applications using modern development practices
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend services
• Strong capability with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver responsive, accessible user experiences
• Experience building single-page applications using modern client-side frameworks such as Angular and TypeScript
• Ability to design, create, and consume RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including integrating backend services with data stores
• Experience applying unit testing practices and patterns to improve code quality and reliability
• Understanding of secure application design, including authentication and authorization concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy applications while maintaining stability and performance
• Familiarity with performance evaluation, tuning, and observability in distributed systems
• Experience with web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum-based development environments
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices
