Job summary

Smart IMS Inc in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer for a 12-month contract onsite. You will design, develop, and support customer-facing and backend applications in an Agile environment using .NET, Angular, and cloud-based architectures.

You will lead feature work, perform code reviews, implement CI/CD, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience with mentoring
• Strong ASP.NET, Angular, JSON, XML, and REST services
• Experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture
• Strong database development experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational DB platforms
• Experience with distributed monolithic and cloud-based microservices environments
• Solid understanding of web app security, performance, debugging, deployment strategies, and session management
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, API test automation, and deployment pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo preferred

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Full Stack .NET Developer, you will design, develop, and support customer-facing and backend applications within an Agile development environment. This role requires strong expertise in .NET technologies, Angular, cloud-based architectures, and modern software development practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions through test-driven development, continuous integration, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define and deliver Agile user stories.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using .NET and Angular technologies.
• Perform code reviews and design reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies

• 8+ years of full-stack application development experience, including mentoring and supporting development teams.
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET, Angular/AngularJS, JSON, XML, and synchronous/asynchronous services.
• Extensive experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Strong database development experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database platforms.
• Experience working with distributed monolithic and cloud-based microservices environments.
• Solid understanding of web application security, performance tuning, debugging, deployment strategies, and session management.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing, API test automation, and deployment pipeline tools.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo is preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
