Job description

Responsibilities

• Strong software engineering skills and a development background to build web applications.
• Build the SOA web service, leveraging Spring Security, OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols.
• Design, develop Java/J2EE applications, execute test plans, coordinate, implement and deploy software in multiple environments.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end design, development, and delivery activities to implement secure data‑exchange infrastructure solutions.
• Build complex enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Develop Web Services using Spring Web Services.
• Develop front‑end applications using Vue.js or Angular.
• Use IDEs such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Spring Suite, etc.
• Possess strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Implement Java/J2EE solutions using JBoss and Tomcat.
• Perform JDBC programming with Open JPA and ORM tools such as Spring Hibernate.
• Write SQL and database programs using Oracle / PostgreSQL.
• Apply SOA principles (loose coupling, reusability, synchronicity, high availability, scalability), SOA design patterns and integration patterns.
• Participate in SOA governance, including design with common integration patterns, reusable modules, standards‑based business object definitions, and review technical solutions to ensure code conforms to standards.
• Use security frameworks for web‑service security and Java security.
• Participate in strategic initiatives related to system development and enhancements.
• Contribute to system delivery specifications and technical design specifications.
• Develop and test components as per the specification.
• Participate in all phases of projects.
• Manage individual tasks and deliverables to complete projects on schedule.
• Execute design and development in line with approved enterprise architecture concepts, principles, and frameworks.
• Lead and collaborate closely with the team during development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JBoss and/or other JEE application servers.
• Database expertise: Oracle, PL/SQL stored procedures.
• Operating systems and environments: Unix/Linux, Windows.
• Application architecture and design: enterprise integration patterns, object‑oriented programming, aspect‑oriented programming, Java design patterns, SOA architecture/design.
• Proven ability in application design and development of enterprise solutions.
• Expert understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution, and planning.
• Knowledge of user interface design and web‑based technologies.
• Understanding of service‑oriented development and best practices.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems.
• Familiarity with automated build processes and source code control systems.
• Experience with cloud technologies is a plus.
