Overture Partners is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a team building a modern, cloud-based application. You will design, develop, and support backend services using Java, Spring, and AWS, delivering scalable RESTful APIs and reliable cloud-native solutions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, ensure security, and contribute to architecture decisions across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise Java applications.
• Proficient in Java and the Spring Framework.
• Experience with backend services, APIs, and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend applications using Java and Spring.
• Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and container technologies.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for business applications.
• Write and optimize SQL/PL-SQL for Oracle databases.
• Deploy and manage apps using Kubernetes, Docker, EC2, and EKS.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise‑level Java applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
• Proven experience building and supporting backend services and APIs.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries and working with Oracle databases.
• Working knowledge of PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
• Experience developing scalable, secure, and high‑performant cloud‑based applications.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Support application performance, reliability, and ongoing enhancements in production environments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and cloud architecture.
