The candidate will work across backend and frontend layers, leveraging C++, Java, TypeScript, and modern UI techniques to deliver measurable advertiser outcomes within Netflix’s content ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the advertising domain.
• Proficiency in a general‑purpose object‑oriented language such as C++, Java, etc.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with front‑end frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, etc.).
• Experience interfacing with REST APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
• Knowledge of database concepts, SQL, and data modeling.
• Understanding of UX and UI design principles.

About the Ads Platform Engineering Team

Our Ads Platform Engineering organization builds advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world‑class content delivery ecosystem. We design client‑ and server‑side ad insertions, encoding recipes, content understanding, and metadata to deliver ads in a user‑friendly way while ensuring brand safety.

We also build the Ads Measurement team to quantify campaign outcomes, combine Netflix innovations with first‑party solutions, and provide advertisers with powerful measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance advertising systems; integrate with front‑end frameworks, REST/GraphQL APIs; ensure compliance with ad standards and regulations; deliver measurable results to advertisers while protecting user experience.

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of the advertising domain
• Proficiency in a general‑purpose object‑oriented language such as C++, Java, etc.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Typescript

Compensation

Compensation is a structured annual salary, ranging from $250,000.00 to $413,000.00. You can choose the mix of salary and stock options each year.
