Job summary

Zohorecruit client is seeking a senior software engineer to lead complex backend design and cloud infrastructure, using C#/.NET and Angular/React.

You will mentor engineers, define SLOs/SLIs, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and drive migration of legacy systems to modern architectures while collaborating with product teams across time zones in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with C#/.NET and front-end (Angular or React).
• Experience shipping and supporting production-grade systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Linux, containers, and infrastructure as code.

What you will be doing:

• Lead complex system and service-oriented backend design (C#/.NET, Angular/React), defining technical approaches and selecting appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Manage database schemas, data models, and secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Utilise and review AI coding tools for writing, testing, and maintaining code, treating prompt design as a core technical skill.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with quality gates, automated testing strategies, and deployment rollout strategies.
• Lead the migration of legacy applications to modern technologies and infrastructure.
• Define SLOs, SLIs, and use distributed tracing and telemetry to diagnose system-wide issues.
• Create clear documentation and system boundaries so people and AI tools can extend systems safely.
• Lead technical conversations, explain trade-offs, and work with product teams to shape delivery phases.
• Break down complex problems into well-defined tickets while balancing speed with security and compliance.
• Mentor engineers across experience levels and help establish team standards for safe AI usage, review, and knowledge sharing.

What our client is looking for:

• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience with extensive commercial background in C#/.NET and production experience with Angular or React.
• At least one production-grade system designed, shipped, and supported that can be discussed in detail.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform, Linux, containers, and infrastructure as code.
• Daily working experience with AI coding tools and willingness to work in an agentic delivery model.
• Experience managing client‑facing delivery, explaining trade-offs, and having the confidence to deliver difficult messages early.
• Experience in financial services, with Commercial Real Estate or Credit Markets experience as a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and comfort working in an Agile team across time zones.
• High discipline to manage time independently and maintain close contact with a distributed team.
