Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect and deliver mission-critical healthcare applications. You will craft polished frontends and scalable backends, ensuring seamless data flows and robust integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full stack development experience.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs with .NET/Java/Node.js/Python.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge and RESTful integrations.
• Cloud-native apps experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Docker containerization and Terraform/Ansible for IaC.
• CI/CD and version control fundamentals (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with healthcare tech (Epic preferred) is a plus.

Your Role

As a Full Stack Engineer in the healthcare space, you'll architect seamless, missioncritical applications that clinicians and patients depend on. From polished interfaces to highperformance backends, you'll shape technology that improves care delivery and enhances lives.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in full stack development
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies
• Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful integrations
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable)
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Bicep, ARM, Terraform) to provision and manage cloud resources
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
