Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer Level II to lead a portfolio of cloud-based projects in a regulated environment from McLean, VA (Hybrid).

You will work across distributed microservices and full stack systems using Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, Go, and a variety of AWS tools. Responsibilities include collaborating with digital product managers, delivering robust cloud solutions, and applying Docker/Kubernetes, Git CI/CD, and Terraform/CDK in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Python (ETL, data pipelines, scripting), REST API design
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Cloud / Infrastructure: AWS (S3, IAM, RDS, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, OpenSearch), Terraform or CDK
• Data: SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL), Snowflake or Delta Lake a plus
• DevOps / Delivery: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile
• Soft Skills: Comfortable in regulated environments, cross-team collaboration, ability to ramp quickly

Job Summary

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company. Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment. Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• 7 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Spark, Python, Go, or Node.js
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion
