Job summary

Getlabs is seeking a Software Engineer II to help build and scale nationwide at-home diagnostics platforms. You will work across web and mobile applications, contributing to frontend and backend systems, and explore AI-enabled experiences in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent).
• Strong foundation in modern web development using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, CSS and HTML.
• Interested or experienced in iOS development. Familiarity with backend APIs and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Curiosity about AI development and building AI-assisted workflows.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills with a willingness to dive into new areas.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to grow.
• Collaborative mindset and passion for building great user experiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling responsibilities across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across the stack, including frontend UI and backend APIs.
• Power appointment booking, route assignments, and patient/partner workflows.
• Enable real-time communication and AI-powered tooling within core Getlabs applications.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver user-friendly experiences.
• Contribute to secure, HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant systems.

We’re looking for a motivated Software Engineer II early in their career (~2-5 years of experience) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to grow while building high-impact products. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to build end-to-end features that power Getlabs’ core applications. You’ll help shape the patient, specialist, and partner experience, from scheduling and communication to automating operational workflows and developing AI-powered tools.

At Getlabs, you will:

• Work in a fast-paced environment where you’ll learn quickly, take ownership, and ship impactful features
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver simple, user-friendly experiences
• Build and enhance core Getlabs applications across web, mobile (iOS), internal tools, and backend APIs
• Develop end-to-end features across the stack, including frontend UI, backend APIs, that enable appointment booking, route assignments, patient and partner workflows, real-time communication, and more
• Contribute to secure, HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant systems
• Continuously learn and adapt, producing high-quality work consistently and efficiently

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
• Strong foundation in modern web development using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, CSS and HTML
