Job summary

General Medicine is recruiting a strong software engineer to help build a consumer healthcare store. You’ll contribute to web apps, work with clinicians, operations, and design, and own parts of the product from requirements to QA.

We value technical excellence, fast momentum, and comfort operating amid ambiguity. The role is based in our San Francisco office with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office). Base salary 150k–225k plus equity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building web apps as a full-stack engineer.
• Experience with modern infra tooling and programming languages (AWS, Ruby on Rails, Next.js).
• Comfortable working across design, operations, and clinical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Help build a seamless consumer healthcare product and scale the healthcare store.
• Write product requirements documents, analyze feature performance with SQL, and own QA.
• Collaborate closely with design, operations, and clinical teams to deliver high-quality product experiences.
