Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its Sensors Infrastructure team. You will help rebuild and modernize the Study Device Portal, a React-based web app used to monitor participant compliance and wearable-device data.

You will also contribute to Go-based backend services for data ingestion and authentication. You will collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders, own tasks, participate in code reviews, and help ensure scalable, reliable systems across frontend,

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in full-stack application development.
• Hands-on backend development experience using Golang.
• Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with gRPC, REST APIs, or similar service communication technologies.
• Strong understanding of frontend/backend integration and application architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL, BigQuery, data lakes, or comparable database technologies.
• Experience debugging and independently resolving technical issues.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and maintainable code design.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, ask clarifying questions, and own technical deliverables.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week in Dallas or Raleigh.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React-based frontend applications for the Study Device Portal.
• Migrate the Study Device Portal using Verily's internal systems, shared components, and engineering standards.
• Develop, maintain, and scale Go-based backend services for wearable-device data ingestion and functionality.
• Integrate backend services through APIs and gRPC-based communication.
• Support authentication, authorization, and integration with identity management and ingestion services.
• Work across the full technical stack, including frontend components, backend architecture, pipelines, and healthcare data models.
• Integrate applications with cloud-based databases and analytical data platforms.
• Support the development of participant compliance monitoring dashboards and reporting views.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and application maintenance.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Independently manage assigned development tasks while collaborating with senior engineers on complex challenges.
• Support production troubleshooting and participate in an on-call rotation.
