Job summary

Stefanini North America and APAC is seeking a Full Stack Developer for an on-site role in Dearborn, MI. You will work on Propulsion in-house CAD/CAE apps, using Java and Angular, and contribute to API and microservice development.

The role requires experience with GCP, REST APIs, and AI-enabled features, plus strong testing and Agile practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and security awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using Java full stack to design scalable web applications with microservices.
• 3+ years of experience with Angular for front-end and real-time UI updates.
• Hands-on experience building web apps with LLMs, chatbots, RAG, and AI APIs.
• 5+ SQL/Oracle database experience or PostgreSQL.
• GCP development and deployment experience (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS).
• Experience with GitHub or equivalent source control and TDD/BDD practices.
• Strong testing skills: functional, integration, regression; CI/CD and automation.
• Experience with Agile development and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand use-cases and requirements, and advocate for user-centric solutions.
• Design, develop, and deliver software using appropriate tools, languages, and methodologies.
• Assess software requirements to determine the best technology stack and deployment strategy.
• Create high-level software architecture designs outlining components and interfaces.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and architects across teams.
• Define and implement software test strategy and processes in line with best practices.
• Improve performance and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Follow TDD/CI/CD practices and maintain code quality.
• Support security practices to protect user data, including encryption.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces and back-end APIs/microservices.
• Maintain and extend back-end services and APIs with robust reliability.
