Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications supporting mortgage origination, servicing, and operations. You will work on front-end interfaces and back-end services, ensuring secure, scalable solutions and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/related field.
  • 5+ years in full-stack development and related fields.
  • Experience building web-based applications end-to-end.
  • Experience with front-end technologies and back-end services.
  • Experience with APIs, web services, and data interfaces.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, SDLC, and testing.
  • Experience with Git, Azure, AWS, and Agile methodologies.
  • Preferred experience with mortgage tech platforms like Encompass LOS.

Position Overview

The Full Stack Engineer / Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications that support mortgage origination, servicing, sales, operations, and other business functions. This role develops and supports both front-end user interfaces and back-end application functionality, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions. The Full Stack Engineer / Developer collaborates with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that enhance CrossCountry Mortgage’s operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications and software solutions.
  • Analyze business and user requirements to determine technical solutions that align with CCM objectives.
  • Participate in the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
  • Build and maintain reusable UI components to promote consistency, scalability, and maintainability across applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, business logic, and application APIs that support mortgage origination, servicing, sales, operations, and other business needs.
  • Convert business requirements, design specifications, and wireframes into functional application features.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms using APIs and web services.
  • Create and optimize RESTful APIs and data services to support internal and external system integrations.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain databases, queries, and supporting application infrastructure.
  • Ensure applications meet accessibility, usability, security, and cross-browser compatibility standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards, security requirements, and best practices.
  • Utilize source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and implement solutions to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend enhancements to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of applications in cloud-based and on-premises environments.
  • Participate in system upgrades, application enhancements, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Support production applications and assist in resolving operational issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, quality assurance teams, UI/UX professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical problem-solving.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, application development, or a related field of technology.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting web-based applications.
  • Experience developing front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks or technologies.
  • Experience developing back-end applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing and integrating applications using APIs, web services, and data interfaces.
  • Experience with software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with mortgage technology platforms, including Encompass LOS and related integrations, preferred.
  • Experience working with Git, Azure, AWS, and Agile development methodologies, preferred.
  • Experience with TypeScript, NoSQL databases, and event-driven messaging architectures, preferred.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, application security principles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled at working effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
