Oddball is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our CMS team, building APIs and interfaces powering tools shaping healthcare policy in the United States. You will work remotely on a cross-functional team delivering high-quality, accessible software that supports federal workflows.

The role emphasizes frontend React/TypeScript and backend Go, with GraphQL integration, API design collaboration, and an Agile development process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Frontend in React/TypeScript and backend in Go experience.
  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Git and Cypress or similar testing tools.
  • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Comfortable in a federal or regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
  • Consume and interact with GraphQL APIs via Apollo Client.
  • Collaborate across frontend and backend to shape data endpoints and API contracts.
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code that other engineers enjoy working with.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure interfaces meet federal accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG.

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our CMS team, building the APIs and interfaces that power tools helping shape healthcare policy for millions of Americans.

What you'll be doing:
  • Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go
  • Consume and interact with GraphQL APIs via Apollo Client
  • Collaborate across frontend and backend to shape data endpoints and API contracts
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code that other engineers enjoy working with
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies
  • Ensure interfaces meet federal accessibility standards including Section 508 and WCAG
What you’ll bring:
  • Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend
  • Experience building backend services in Go
  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client
  • Solid understanding of API design and how frontend and backend systems interact
  • Familiarity with Docker, Git, and Cypress or similar testing frameworks
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a federal or regulated environment
  • Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
  • Communicates clearly and openly, whether in a code review or a conversation with a non-technical stakeholder
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $100,000 - $135,000
