Job summary

Wilcore Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications powering mission-critical initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

You will work across the full technology stack to build scalable, secure, and user-centered solutions while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and government stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in full stack development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Git workflows.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Understanding of accessibility best practices and web standards (WCAG, Section 508).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications and APIs.
  • Build responsive, accessible UI components using modern front-end frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain secure backend services, business logic, and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure applications comply with federal accessibility, security, and quality standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and architecture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Experience with automated testing and 508 scanning tools (e.g., Axe, pa11y)
Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance
