Job summary

FuturHealth is building a health and technology platform that blends telemedicine, nutrition plans, medication delivery, and insurance solutions to empower patients in their wellbeing. We seek a true full-stack engineer who can own money logic from backend to frontend, ensuring accurate payments, renewals, and credit handling, while collaborating with Medical engineering.

The Mission

Money is where patient care gets complicated. A titration upgrade, a renewal, a plan change - every one of them has to resolve into the right charge, the right credit, the right event, every time, or a patient's medication doesn't ship. Your mission is to own that correctness end to end: from the payments service and subscription/renewal logic through the checkout and account screens patients actually see. You're not choosing between backend and frontend - you're closing the loop between them, because in payments the two are the same problem.

What You'll Actually Do

• Own the Money Logic : Build and maintain the subscription, renewal, and credit-ledger machinery in our payments service - the system that decides what a patient owes, what they've already covered, and what happens next.
• Close the Loop to the Patient : Take ownership from the API through the checkout and account UI - multi-offer screens, credit displays, payment steps - so what the backend calculates is exactly what the patient sees and confirms.
• Guard the Signal : Every transaction has to emit the right payment event - that event is what releases medication. You'll treat event correctness and webhook reliability as core to the job, not an afterthought.
• Test Like It's Load-Bearing : You'll build automated coverage as you go, not after - payment logic has too many edge cases (partial credits, multi-cycle renewals, plan changes) to trust to manual QA alone.
• Work the Seam with Medical : Payments and Medical engineering share real surface area - titration, refills, and plan changes all touch both. You'll partner directly with the Medical team where the two domains meet, without needing a hard line drawn between them.
