Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Java-focused software engineer to develop, deploy, and support key application features in a collaborative environment in Texas. You will design, build, test, and deliver web-based components, working with team leads, analysts, QA, architects, and fellow developers to enhance digital products.

• Proven experience in developing web applications using Java.
• Hands-on RESTful API development experience.
• Experience with Angular or similar client-side frameworks.
• Experience in Agile development environment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Designs scalable, maintainable solutions with long-term perspective.
• Knowledge of OO design, REST, secure coding, and test coverage.
• Strong critical thinking and growth mindset.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing web applications using Java (up to recent versions).
• Hands-on experience with Restful API development.
• Exposure to Angular or similar client-side frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking skills, growth mindset, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
• Demonstrated ability to produce scalable, maintainable solutions with a long-term perspective.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, RESTful services, secure coding practices, and test coverage.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Java EE.
• Familiarity with build and dependency management tools like Maven.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, including continuous integration and deployment.
• Understanding of enterprise application architecture and orchestration frameworks.
• AWS certification(s) or familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
