Job summary

Patterned Learning is seeking engineers to build and maintain production software that processes and records customers’ retirement savings.

You will collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to share knowledge and build expertise, while developing ownership over system domains and making informed engineering trade-offs.

We value advocacy for users, mentoring colleagues, and continuous improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience building and maintaining software in production.
• Familiarity with Node, TypeScript, React, AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor other engineers.

• Proactive and empathetic mindset – you love to roll up your sleeves to fix problems for our customers

Nice to have

• Experience using and developing component libraries/design systems
• Familiarity with React Hooks
• Prior knowledge of GraphQL
• System design & architecture experience
• Self‑driven and willing to learn
