Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Providence, RI is seeking a senior full stack software engineer to contribute to building software products for a growing enterprise organization. You will build world-class frontend and backend solutions and collaborate with product and engineering leaders to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

As an experienced engineer, you will mentor teammates, influence engineering practices, and drive technical decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience building production systems full stack across frontend and backend.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Strong backend experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring, or similar technologies.
• Experience building API's and working with SQL databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts including asynchronous processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and containerized environments.
• Strong experience with observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
• Experience using AI tools in development workflows and familiarity with agentic patterns.
• Experience with event streaming systems such as Kafka.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience building software with 3rd party integrations is ideal.
• Experience with observability is ideal.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems.
• Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive technical decisions and deliver business outcomes.
• Ability to own the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Ability to ensure systems are observable through logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Ability to contribute to building and improving agentic and AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as Claude

Experience
