Job summary

A pioneering company in satellite operations is seeking an experienced backend and full stack engineer. You will work on cloud-native applications, develop APIs, and integrate AWS services. The role offers a competitive salary of $150,000 to $180,000, hybrid working in Denver or Los Angeles, and excellent benefits including full health coverage, 401(k) match, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend, full stack, or DevOps engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, databases, and API design.
• Proactive self-starter thriving in dynamic, fast-paced teams.
• Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance.

Job description

We’re partnered with a pioneering company building scalable software solutions to manage and optimise satellite operations. Join a cross‑functional engineering team in Denver, CO or Los Angeles, CA, working on backend and frontend systems that support thousands of satellites.

Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

What you’ll be doing

• Develop APIs and integrate with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, Fargate).
• Build scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient cloud‑native applications.
• Collaborate with operators, product managers, and fellow engineers to create robust tools for mission success.
• Drive automation, CI/CD improvements, and containerised deployments.

Tech you’ll use

• Python, GraphQL, Docker, Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
• React (TypeScript), Next.js, and modern frontend frameworks
• Kubernetes and serverless architecture
• GitHub/GitLab for version control and CI/CD

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of experience in backend, full stack, or DevOps engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
