Job summary

Flash AI is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to scale a CJIS-compliant platform on AWS GovCloud, integrating video, audio, and documents for public safety. You will build backend microservices with FastAPI and create Angular interfaces for investigators, while ensuring secure data pipelines and scalable search capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend experience and relational DB work (PostgreSQL).
• Frontend development with Angular; Docker and cloud platforms (AWS) experience.
• Familiar with agentic tools (Cursor, Codex, Claude Code).
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG and vector databases (Weaviate/Pinecone) plus fast learning.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models (SageMaker/Bedrock).
• Prior work in CJIS-compliant, high-security environments.

In this role, you will help build and scale both the backend services and front-end interfaces of our platform, leveraging microservices, LLMs, and RAG to empower officers to search through massive amounts of data using natural language. This opportunity is ideal for an adaptable, curious developer excited to work across the stack, from designing APIs to crafting Angular-based user interfaces, while continuously mastering new tools. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend microservices using FastAPI (Python).

Skills and Experience

• Strong foundational programming skills with Python or a similar backend language, complemented by experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• A proven ability to develop modern web applications using Angular or comparable front-end frameworks, experience working with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in using agentic programming tools such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code.
• A generalist mindset and a genuine curiosity for emerging technologies like LLMs, RAG, and vector databases (Weaviate, Pinecone); while the technology experience is a plus, we value the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment (SageMaker, Bedrock)
• Prior work in high security or CJIS-Compliant environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of ownership over features and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Demonstrated organization and attention to detail, ensuring reliability whether you are deploying microservices or designing user-facing interfaces.
• Adaptability to an evolving technology stack; we do not expect candidates to have mastery of every tool listed, but we do look for a passion for learning and the ability to grow alongside our platform.
