Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, VA seeks a seasoned Full Stack Development Engineer to join our Professional Services team. You will collaborate with cross‑functional groups to translate client needs into scalable platform solutions and guide onboarding across development environments.

You will work with Typescript, Golang, Python, AWS, Docker, and IaC, playing a key role in architecture reviews and performance optimization while coaching engineers in a fast‑paced, Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Typescript, Golang, or Python.
• 5+ years of AWS, CI/CD, and developer workflow automation (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Flux).
• 4+ years of containerization (Docker).
• 4+ years of databases (MySQL or Postgres).
• 4+ years of IaC (Terraform, AWS, or CDK).
• 4+ years of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Grafana).
• Experience using AI tools to augment rapid prototyping (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf).
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; Bachelor's degree.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the team. You’ll work in a Professional Service role, working with teams to leverage our platform.

You should thrive in a fast‑paced environment, be able to translate customer needs, and assist others in migration and solving problems using our platform. You’ll be responsible for working with current and new software development teams, understanding their architecture and development environment tooling to develop onboarding paths to our platform.

You have expertise in Cloud, Databases, Networking, Full Stack Software Applications, Architectures, and Common Design Patterns. You have excellent communication skills, the ability to lead engineers, and work across development teams in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience with software development, including Typescript, Golang, or Python
• 5+ years of experience with AWS and CI/CD and developer workflow automation, including Github Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux
• 4+ years of experience with containerization and deployments with Docker
• 4+ years of experience using databases, including MySQL or Postgres
• 4+ years of experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, AWS, or CDK
• 4+ years of experience using APM and monitoring tools, including AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, or Grafana
• Experience using AI tools to augment your ability to rapid prototype features, including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or WindSurf
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Experience building Developer Platforms

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
