Dark Wolf is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support the United States Space Force (USSF). This role focuses on agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. The team will develop, test, implement, and maintain software tools that monitor, analyze, visualize, and report on the cyber status of space ground systems and data links. The candidate should be a leader and problem solver capable of delivering superior results as part of a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment. The position requires hybrid on‑site support at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating current software architectures and implementing meaningful improvements to ensure a robust, field‑ready solution.
• Ensuring consistent submission of high‑quality, technically accurate products to the Government client.
• Providing strategic advice, technical expertise, and mentorship to program and project staff, performing all functional duties independently.
• Developing specialized tools to assess cyber vulnerabilities, prioritize cyber investments, and protect against unauthorized intrusion, corruption, and destruction of Space Force networks.
• Communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or a STEM‑related specialty plus 3 years’ experience in full‑stack development.
• 8+ years of relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or in a profit or non‑profit Government support or development contractor arena.
• SAFe for Teams certification.
• AWS certifications (Associate Developer, & AWS Specialty Security within a year of start date) or demonstrated AWS competence using the CLI and Boto.
• Experience in the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Angular.
• Familiarity and knowledge of: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab.
• Experience or knowledge in the following areas: network engineering, AWS Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross‑functional teamwork.
• US Citizen and Top Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Relevant DoD and/or industry work experience in Space Systems Command.

Location & Salary

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The estimated salary range is $155,000.00 – $180,000.00, commensurate with experience and technical skill set.
