Job summary

VTG seeks an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to modernize legacy applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will design RESTful APIs, build modern web UIs with React, Angular, or Vue, and contribute to scalable, reliable software across the stack.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to support the modernization of legacy applications through full-stack software design and development. The successful candidate will develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), build modern web user interfaces, and design RESTful APIs that adhere to organizational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy applications using full-stack software design and development techniques.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop web user interfaces using React, Angular (TypeScript), or Vue.
• Create, configure, and troubleshoot application infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Design and develop RESTful API endpoints that conform to organizational standards and best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement custom Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) methodologies.
• Analyze customer requirements and specifications to develop technically sound software solutions.
• Design relational database schemas and construct queries using databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Develop and implement unit tests to ensure application functionality and reliability.
• Conduct peer code reviews to maintain software quality and adherence to development standards.
• Create, modify, maintain, and execute automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium.
• Work within Agile and Scrum methodologies to support iterative development and delivery.
