Job summary

JTEC Consulting LLC is seeking a Full Stack Developer to drive cloud-native software delivery from UI to data layers in Chantilly, VA. The role requires a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and an on-site work arrangement.

You will partner with engineering leaders to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure solutions and APIs. Responsibilities include API design, cloud optimization on AWS, and DevOps automation with IaC and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI with agency-specific polygraph required for consideration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent years of direct experience).
• 5–7 years of professional experience in full-stack software development delivering production-grade applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end, cloud-native software across UI, business logic, and data layers.
• Partner with engineering leadership to translate requirements into technical specs and agile stories.
• Design and maintain secure RESTful APIs and web services for system integration.
• Leverage AWS best practices to deploy scalable, secure cloud-based solutions.
• Integrate code with IaC and CI/CD tools to automate deployments and testing.
• Develop robust unit and integration tests and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Position Description:
JTEC Consulting is seeking a n experienced Full Stack Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end, cloud‑native software solutions. In this role, you will work across the entire cloud software development lifecycle from front‑end user interfaces to backend business logic and distributed data layers. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineering leadership to decompose complex functional requirements into technical specifications, deliver scalable APIs, optimize cloud infrastructure, and ensure high standards of security and performance.A current security clearance with agency‑specific polygraph is strictly required for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

(Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:)

• End-to-End Solution Delivery: Architect, build, and maintain custom software applications across all tiers: user interfaces, business logic layers, and data architectures
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate high‑level business and functional requirements into well‑defined technical specifications, architectural designs, and actionable Agile user stories
• API and System Integrations: Design, implement, and maintain secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs and web services to enable seamless integration across cloud applications and disparate data sets
• Cloud Architecture and Optimization: Leverage AWS best practices to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud‑native systems, prioritizing enterprise security, scalability, and cost‑conscious resource utilization
• DevOps and Automation: Integrate application code with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools to support automated cloud orchestration and streamlined deployments
• Quality and Testing: Write, maintain, and automate robust unit and integration test suites to enforce code quality, reliability, and maintainability
• Agile Execution: Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement and iterative value delivery

Education and Qualifications:

• Current TS/SCI with agency‑specific polygraph required for consideration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (equivalent years of direct experience considered in lieu of a degree)
• 5–7 years of professional experience in full‑stack software development delivering production‑grade custom applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support a collaborative, cross‑functional team

Technical Requirements:

• Backend Development: Strong proficiency in core application programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++, or Python)
• Database & Data Management: Proven experience working with both relational and unstructured data stores, including SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, XML, and data analytics workflows
• Cloud Platforms: Hands‑on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in enterprise cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred, or Azure)
• API Development: Proven track record of designing, building, and documenting web APIs and microservices for system and data integration
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Solid background in developing comprehensive unit test scripts and test‑driven development practices
• Methodologies: Extensive experience collaborating within iterative Agile/Scrum frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Solutions Architect)
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and CI/CD orchestration (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience with data analysis and scripting languages such as Python or R
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
