Job summary

A fast-growing I.T staffing company in California is seeking a web developer to enhance and maintain curriculum content using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 6 years’ experience with web technologies including PHP and MySQL. Additional experience with AWS and responsive design is a plus. This role offers an opportunity to work with HTML5-based simulations and online authoring tools in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years' experience with web technologies.
• Experience with HTML5, canvas element and multimedia APIs is a plus.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and EC2 is a plus.

Job Description

• Develop and maintain HTML, CSS and JavaScript for curriculum content
• Design, enhance and maintain HTML5-based simulations
• Manage PHP scripts and a MySQL database in support of an online authoring tool, content creation and user management system
• Manage backend services running on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) server
• Deploy content to, and provide maintenance of, a web hosting service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• B.S or MS in Computer Science or a related field
• A minimum of 6 years' experience with web technologies; including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL databases
• Experience with HTML5, use of the canvas element and multimedia APIs a plus
• Experience with responsive web design a plus
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and EC2 a plus
• Object oriented design experience
