Job summary

Growtoday AB is building essential zk-rollup infrastructure for Ethereum, pushing the frontiers of cryptography and blockchain technology.

You will build out our technology stack from core Cairo smart contracts to Python and Docker SDKs, focusing on latency, reliability and scale.

Define architecture, establish development processes, hire ambitious engineers, and collaborate with StarkWare and the wider StarkNet ecosystem to drive rapid progress and product-market fit.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer with backend focus.
• Experience solving challenging backend problems; provide resume evidence.
• Experience with Python and Docker.
• Passionate about Web3 with prior space experience.

Job description

Our client is building essential zk-rollup infrastructure for Ethereum. Their work is at the cutting edge of cryptography and blockchain technology.

They are building the first live oracle on StarkNet and the leading provider of robust data feeds to the ecosystem today. The network is powered by data partners that include Alameda Research, Jane Street, Gemini, CMT Digital, Flow Traders and more. Because they are entirely on-chain, protocols via our client's network one finally has access to data that is as verifiable, transparent and secure as the smart contracts themselves.

Our client is also pioneering computational feeds that combine its high-quality, real-time market data in novel ways entirely on-chain and verifiable by leveraging zero-knowledge computation. These advanced computational feeds will enable the next generation of DeFi protocols to go beyond what is possible today.

They recently raised a $7M seed round led by Variant and joined by ecosystem partners such as StarkWare and Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon), as well as a stellar group of investors such as Thomas Bailey (Road Capital), Marc Bhagarva (Tagomi), Luke Pearson (Polychain), Max Kleiman-Weiner (Sequoia), Tekin Salimi (DAO5), Tarun Chitra (Gauntlet) and Robert Leshner (Compound).

What Youll Do

• Build out our technology infrastructure, from our core smart contracts (Cairo) to our SDKs (Python, Docker) including low-level optimizations for latency and robustness
• Help define the overall architecture of our solution and set up development processes that enable us to continue to iterate rapidly
• Think from first principles to tackle challenges at the cutting edge of cryptography, smart contracts and data - prioritizing safety and robustness
• Hire the brightest and most ambitious technical talent to come work with you

Requirements

• >3y experience as a full stack developer, with a focus on backend, preferably at a startup or tech company
• Having worked on challenging backend problems before (we'd like to see some examples on your resume)
• Experience with Python and Docker
• Passionate about Web3, ideally with previous professional experience in the space.
