AsFullStack Data Engineer,you willcollaborate withBusinessAnalysts andthe TechnicalLeadData to design and build future proof dataplatforms and reporting. You will bebased on our site inTienen, Belgium.

More specifically, yourmaintaskswithin this role will be the following:

Data pipeline development:
– Designing,implementingand managingdata pipelines to process large volumes of data fromdifferent sources
– Automatingdata ingestion,transformationand storage workflows
– Ensuringhigh availability and scalability of data pipelines to meet evolving businessrequirements

Data integration and ETL:
– DevelopingandmaintainingExtract, Transform, load (ETL) processes forintegrationdata from sources like flat files,databasesand API’s
– Gettingfamiliar with tools like BOOMI to support the data sourcing and transformation
– Maintaininghigh data quality standards, ensuring the accuracy,completenessand consistency of data across all systems

Database design and management:
– Collaboratingwiththe TechnicalLeadData andBusinessAnalysts to design data models that enable advanced analytical and machine learning applications
– Optimizingdata structures for performance, scalability, ensuring efficient querying and reporting
– Developingefficient database queries, indexingstrategiesand ensuringdata integrity

Monitoring and optimization:
– Monitoringthe pipelines and infrastructure for performance,issuesand bottlenecks
-Continuouslyoptimizingprocesses and infrastructure to improve performance, reduce costs and enhance scalability

Collaboration and documentation:
– Workingclosely with cross-functional teams (BusinessAnalysts,TechnicalLeadData and applications and business product owners) to develop end-to-end data solutions
– Participatingin agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, dailystandupand retrospectives
– Documentingdata architecture,pipelinesand workflows to ensure transparency and maintainability

Testing and validation:
– SupportingUAT (User Acceptance Testing) to confirm solutions and reporting meet requirements
– Documentingand resolvingdiscrepancies found during testing

Support and aftercare:
– Analyzingtickets raisedthroughServiceNow and providingpersonalized support and guidance to users
– Managingproper communication with the users and assuringthem in a politeandcalm way
– Resolvingtickets,takingimplementedSLA’sinto account
– Gatheringfeedback post-implementation toidentifyareas for improvement

Continuousimprovement:
– Proactivelyidentifyinginefficiencies in reporting and implementing effective solutions
– Keepingup with industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest innovative practices
– Analyzingcurrent reports and processes toidentifyinefficiencies

PROFILE& REQUIREMENTS

• You have aBachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Datascienceor related fields.
• You have at least3 years of experienceasDataEngineer,FullStackDeveloperorarelated role.
• You have a proven interestorexperience in aDataEngineer role, preferably in an enterprise environment.
• You’reproficientin programming languagessuch asPython, R,SQLorMendix.
• You have a strong understanding of databases (SQL Server, Oracle,Postgress, MongoDB).
• You have experience in orarewilling to learn configuration of data transformation through BOOMI.
• You have proven experience with Azure: Azure Data Factory,Data LakeStorage Gen2,Fabric,…
• You have experience with data processing frameworks (e.g.Airflow),version control systems(e.g.GIT),big data tools and cloud technologies, andAgile/Scrum environments, including sprint grooming and planning.
• You have knowledge of data modelling and ETL processes.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly (inDutch, English,andFrench).
• You’refamiliar with ITIL principles and best practices, particularly incidentmanagementand service desk operations.
• You have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
