Job summary

Peraton, a leading national security company, is seeking a software engineer to support a data tracking and metrics solution for IC data custodians. You will collaborate with systems engineers and developers across projects to evolve requirements and deliver design documents and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities include agile development, product evaluation, integration, testing and ensuring adherence to software standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required.
• At least eight years of software development/engineering experience, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; a relevant degree will be considered equivalent to two years of experience.
• One of the following certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate, AWS Certified Generative AI Developer - Professional.

Responsibilities

• Support development and define software solutions to support a data tracking and metrics solution.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with systems engineers and developers across projects to support the planning, design, development, and utilization of a final product recommendation.
• Work directly with the customer and team to evolve requirements and support the creation and presentation of design documents and product demonstrations.
• Other duties will include product evaluation, integration, testing and design process for data tracking and metrics solutions.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including Sprint planning, scheduling, and Jira ticket management.
• Ensure software standards and best practices are utilized.

Project Description:

• The team supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians.


• The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner.


• These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• At least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution


• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is highly desired

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
