Job summary

Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection (DTMB-CIP) seeks a Sr. Full Stack Application Development Security Auditor to design and build secure platforms and applications through dynamic, static, and software composition analysis.

The role focuses on secure coding practices, working with front-end, back-end, and cloud developers, and maturing the organization's secure software development programs. Hybrid onsite two days a week in Dimondale, MI.

Qualifications

• Experience with application security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, ASOC, container/cloud).
• Familiar with HTTP headers and RESTful API security.
• Ability to explain OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities in detail.
• 5+ years of total IT experience.
• 3+ years applying Federal/Industry/Open-Source security guidance (OWASP Top 10, SANS, CERT, CWE, CSS, etc.).
• 3+ years with Angular, React, Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, .NET stacks.
• 3+ years security automation and DevSecOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to implement security patterns and automation for configuration, verification, compliance, and authorization.
• Collaborate with development teams to mature secure software development practices.

NOTE: Local candidates ONLY - Must be located within 90-100 miles of Dimondale, MI at time of submission. Relocation not allowed. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. (Wednesdays/Thursdays are required onsite days.. We can accept H1b, H4, TN and other valid work visas for IT. Our client is looking for a Sr. Full Stack Application Development Security Auditor who is passionate about designing and building secure platforms and applications through Dynamic, Static and Software Composition Analysis assessments

This position is not a member of the Security Operations Center, rather it is dedicated to working with software development teams on secure coding practices. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with both front-end, back-end and cloud-based application developers. Partnering with distributed teams to help transform the way systems are built, secured, authorized and securely operated for continuous compliance and risk mitigation.

Specifically, this candidate will help lead efforts to implement security patterns and practices with orchestration and automation tools that automate the secure configuration, verification, compliance, and authorization of systems and their development. They will be a key member of a team tasked with maturing the organization's secure software development practices.

Skills Required

• Experience with Application Security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, ASOC, Container/Cloud) a must.
• Experience with HTTP Request/Response headers for web and Restful API calls
• Ability to explain in detail any of the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities
• 5+ years - Total IT related experience
• 3+ years - Experience implementing/utilizing Federal, Industry and Open-Source Security Guidance and Secure Coding Practices (OWASP Top 10, SANS, CERT, CWE Top 25, Critical Security Controls, Cloud Security Alliance, SafeCode etc.)
• 3+ years - Experience with both compiled and interpreted languages such as Angular, React, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, IBM WebSphere App server, Oracle JBoss, .NET stacks
• 3+ years - Experience with networking, infrastructure, secure application development and security automation (DevSecOps).
• 3+ years - Hands-on knowledge building and deploying secure complex distributed web and mobile applications.
• Chrome/Firefox/Edge Development tools to see the request/response headers
• Experience with Coverity, BlackDuck, SRM, Fortify a plus
• Experience with API Security
• Experience with JWT
• Experience with OAUTH/OIDC/PKCE
• Experience with Web, API replay attacks
