Job summary

Hyphenate is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to build real features and ship real code for our AI-powered accounting platform. You will be embedded in a product squad with senior engineers, designers, and domain experts, contributing to core functionality used by real users this summer.

By summer's end, you'll own a project from scoping to delivery, presenting results to the company, and gaining exposure to AI agents, LLMs, and modern infrastructure in finance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language.
• Familiarity with APIs and databases.
• Interest in AI/ML, LLMs, or agentic systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across our full stack.
• Work with LLM orchestration frameworks to develop AI accounting agents.
• Collaborate with accountants and domain experts to translate workflows into product.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Tackle ambiguous problems and own a summer project from scoping to delivery.
• Present your summer project to the full team at internship end.
