Job summary

Loula is seeking experienced full-spectrum doulas to join its growing network of independent providers in California. As a partner, you remain an independent contractor and keep your own clients while Loula handles the operational backbone.

You will receive full-service support including Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, and medical billing. Loula provides client referrals, timely direct deposits, and admin support so you can focus on delivering exceptional care to

Qualifications

• Completion of 16 hours of birth doula training and 3 births as a doula, OR 5 years of doula experience with 3 letters of recommendation.
• Adult and infant CPR training.
• HIPAA training and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum doula care to birthing people.
• Collaborate with Loula care navigators for client referrals.

With a network of over 500 experienced and diverse doulas, Loula is building the leading provider network for birth and postpartum doula care. We partner with both Medicaid and commercial health insurance plans to make it easier for doulas to accept health insurance without the administrative burden.

Loula offers full-service support for Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, medical billing, and payment to doulas in California. By taking on the operational complexity, Loula empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

Minimum Qualifications

You'll need one of the following:

• Completed 16 hours of birth doula training AND attended 3 births as a doula, OR

• 5 years of experience as a doula, with 3 letters of recommendation

You'll also need:

• Adult and infant CPR training

• HIPAA training

• Liability insurance

If you don't yet have CPR training, HIPAA training, liability insurance, or the letters of recommendation, you can still reach out! We can support you in getting set up with these requirements.
