Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Communication.
• A record of teaching, scholarship, and service worthy of the rank of full-professor.
• Ability to effectively integrate faith and learning.
• Knowledge of Higher Education practices and adeptness in employing diverse instructional techniques to inspire and engage students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate communication programs (residential and hybrid formats).
• Demonstrate a willingness to teach in both face-to-face and virtual/hybrid modalities.
• Provide academic advisement and direction to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Connect students with and review internship opportunities.
• Engage in scholarly research, presentations, and publications and in professional development activities.
• Serve on school, college, or university committees.
• Be involved in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats, and chapel services.
• Take an active role in the leading and development of new graduate programming.
